Restore backup from older android os

I had backup my data when my phone was on android 4.4.2. Since I updated it to android 5.1, I am unable to restore my data of that backup which I took in 4.4.2
What shall I do now

I'm sorry to say this but this can't be done, although there might be ways to restore some of the data, I think @alexdon posted about this before.

@Prayerson You can try to rename .dbk file to .zip or .rar and extract files (if possible).

Hi @Prayerson,

Did you make the backup using PC Companion? If so you can try to use the Xperia Transfer feature in PC Companion which will let you choose an Xperia backup on your PC as the source for the transfer.
