Restarts caused by modem subsystem failure

I've seen this happening before on the Xperia S (http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-S-SL-acro-S/Xperia-S-intermittent-restarts-other-issues/td-p/29...

I have been using an SK17i for three years and upgraded recently to an Xperia M (C1905). It initially had 4.1 and now I've upgraded it to 4.3 (15.4.A.0.23 to be precise).

Since then I have been experiencing issues with random restarts. Since I have the phone rooted, I have fetched the crash logs and this is what it causing the issues:

It has been affecting phones from other manufacturers too (http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/89358-bug-found-in-cm-kernel/)

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I'm sorry to hear that. I suggest that you try to reinstall the phone software using Update Service..

Before reinstalling your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.
How to backup?

Please let me know if you still experience this after reinstalling the phone software.

I reinstalled it and apparently worked fine for a week or so, so I thought it was fixed.

However yesterday I had two more reboots.

I'm also suffering with my phone Experia M (C1905) randomly rebooting/restarting. The phone is not rooted and is running Android 4.3.

would suggest to do a software repair with sony update service, if problem still persists then take it to sony centre

This is a software failure. This is not anything that can be fixed reflashing the very same firmware or taking it to a Sony centre.

i have the same issue with my xperia m on latest 4.3 firmware. Reflashing don‘t helps. Somedays it reboots more than 10 times a day!

Hi!

I have a similar problem with the phone reboots.
There is a suspicion that the problem in the module Wi-Fi, try turning it off and watch a few days.
