Hi,
Sony is doing a wonderful job with the new range of Android Phones. My Question to Sony Experts is regarding GPS and A-GPS.
ln the SE phones which have A-GPS facility, will the A-GPS work if the phone is out of the service provider network ?
In other words will the A-GPS feature work if there is no signal from the tower.?
Is there any specific model in which the GPS will work without the tower signal like normal GPS. ?
Looking forward to hear from You.

Well, the A in A-GPS stands for assisted start. If the phone has an active data connection it will lock the position with the satellites faster. If you are out of coverage or abroad without any data connection, the phone will still be able to lock on to the GPS satellites but it will take more time to get an accurate position.
