Recovering from Internal Memory?

My Xperia P dropped in the bath. It is now dead.

However, when I put the charger in, the charge indicator comes on. The phone does not turn on nor respond nor anything.

What could be damaged internally? I've had the phone apart as I have a precision tool set and usually take these things apart a lot.

Is there anyway Sony Tech can recover what I need?

did you let the phone dry for 24hrs-48hrs in a bag filled with uncooked rice ? or did you connect it to the charger soon after?

The phone was still on when it was submerged. It only went in shallow water for no more than a second. It powered off when I took the battery out.

The power button didn't work after submersion, which is why I had to take the battery out.

you need to let it dry, take it apart, place it inside a bag filled with uncooked rice for 1-2 days then try again, if that doesn't help you should take it to a sony repair center

This happened 2 or so days ago. Is it likely mother board damage?

I would think so.

probably yes..even computers when being wet or even touch can cause a mobo damage.but there are a lot of gadgets that still works when being dried after submerging in water accidentally.have you brought it to a professional?

I haven't brought it to a proffessional. I may buy a working donor Xperia P so I can test each circuitry to determine the working one.
