External speaker not working with Songs - Xperia Z

Hello,
My phones's external speaker doesnt seem to work i.e I am not able to hear songs
But when i receive calls,ringtone can be heard.
I am.a little confused,is this a hardware problem or what.

Welcome to the community,

You could also boot the device in to Safemode and see if the Audio works, if it does, try simply booting out of Safemode and see if the issue continues, sometimes booting in to safemode and then booting to normal mode can resolve such an issue.
