Random Sony Xperia Apps Crash

Hello All!

After buying a Style Cover SCR26... I get daily between 30 and 50 messages like this one:

Unfortunately, the process com.sonyericsson.extras.liveware.extension.onlineProcess has stopped.

Apparently not a big deal because everything works correctly except that from time to time while I type or browse that annoying windows show up on screen and I have to close it, wait that the dialog fade and so on...

... so, do you see the question coming?

How do I fix this?

I can't say for sure but i suspect this may be related to API changes made by Facebook.

We are currently in the process of phasing out Xperia with Facebook due to API changes made by Facebook. As i understand it, some of these changes just went into effect so this may be the cause of this issue.

Which firmware version do you have in your phone? What happens if you uninstall https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonyericsson.extras.liveware.extension.facebook from your phone but leave the Xperia with Facebook account?

Uhm, I tried that, it keep crashing. It was one of my initial experiments.

However, if I have to be brutally honest.. by disabling the Xperia with Facebook account my life is the same (I don't really see the importance of thatit's useful just if you want to sync contacts). All is good and nothing is crashing. So if you guys are going to phase it out you have my approval as it's just provoking issues and honestly... I prefer maintaining my contacts up to date with Google rather than with Facebook.

In my case it did start after a update for style covers. I did send a mail to the maker of the app, but have not yet, 3 weeks, receive an answer. I did unstall the cover and installed another colour that had not yet been updated, in my case that worked fine. But it had been nice to use the app and colour I want,without crashes.

Hello All,

I was thinking that i was the only one, but no, i have the SmartWatch 2 with Xperia Z2, and i am receiving these same error as YoGem, and i think it have begin after an update from Facebook, so it have some sence for what i have read here, i use too the Smart Wireless Headset Pro (That is a shame that is not updated), at the first glance i was thinking that was because of the wireless headset program that is not updated since 2014 but no, already try to uninstall and no diference at all,

Is there any news that these problem will be fixed?

Xperia Z Ultra: same error message since update to Lollipop. I disabled Xperia Facebook, but no improvement. Disconnected smartwatch 2 and messages disappeared. It seems I can't use my Sony smartwatch with my Sony phone anymore without having these error messages... Thanks Sony.

I have the Sony Smartwatch 2 and the HTC One M8, and have been getting the message for about two weeks. I just started researching the problem. I like my watch more than I like Facebook, so I will uninstall that until there is a fix. If Sony does not fix the problem, I will not be buying another Sony Watch.
