Has anyone experienced any random resets of the Xperia Ray?
As soon as I attach to any wireless network the phone randomly resets.
I have the same problème. My Xperia Ray resets every minutes if i do not touch it.
But i i use it (if i just navigate in it and touch it), it do not reset.
I have bought my phone in France.
Was rebooting a couple of times per day, some times 5 or more.
but over the last 48 hours not once (touch wood)
I have advance task killer activated, with start at startup enabled.
this way I get the little task killer icon in my status bar everytime the phone restarts and I miss it.
you should uninstall the task killler... most probably its the cause of this reboot.
Genuine reply below, it may seem sarcastic, but I'm trying to be logical and come to a solution.
Really?
considering
are you saying that Advance task killer is rebooting the phone, or that the phone doesn't like advance taks killer and is rebooting itself due to it.
M
only some users have faced rebooting issue in ray..
so did it reboot anytime after the 48 hours
well i told you to remove task killer because it might be killing any service which may turning off the phone..
many many users got errors in various conditions..and when we asked them to remove the killer , the errors stopped..
so i just suggested you to remove it..
if the reboot issue has been solved then well and good
dont even try uninstalling task killer because i dont want you to curse me or something
have you updated your phone..?
nope still no reboots which is good, almost 3 days now
I upgraded to android 2.3.4, the day after I got it (this is my second handset, first one was smashed after one day
but didnt reboot)
this phone was rebooting before and after the upgraded
I just saw mention of McAfee antivirus app in another thread
I dont know where this came from, whether its part of the standard install or a telco thing, but McAfee kept popping up asking me to install/update all the time
I got sick of clicking no all the time so removed it and that was about when things got better, not sure if this was the issue.though
May be worth a try for anyone still having the reboot issue?
1 week, no Reboots,
99% sure it was that McAfee app now.
Thread seems to have gone quiet
Anyone else had any results?

I have same problem with reboots
But worst of all my phone keep on "dropping" the sim card
So i need to enter my pin code all the time to get network service
I all so had the advanced task killer app on my phone just removed it at wonder if does the trick
NO NO, task killer wasn't the issue for me,
Remove the Mcafee App.
M
it might be convination of both the Mcafee and taskillers
