Random Resets of Xperia Ray

Has anyone experienced any random resets of the Xperia Ray?

As soon as I attach to any wireless network the phone randomly resets.

Still no acceptable fix one month on after I bought the phone.

Replacement phone received, still the same issue.

(with the latest software)

Why is this question "Assumed Answered", unless the answer is "Yes, the Ray will auto-reset when it feels like and SE aren't going to do anything about it"?

it is your SIM card that is causing the problem. try it with another. Remove the Sim lock. Some card due to configuration causes this.

No, not the sim card, I have been to the US, Germany, UK in the last month, problems with the German, US in addition to the usual UK card. Really wish it was.

I don't know, it automatically did it.

Cannot find where to set it back.

Still Nothing, this is so bad, I am really unhappy about the situation with this phone.

I cannot recommend to anyone that they buy this phone in the current state that it is in.

Now I have had 3rd handset and still have the same issue.

It happens on O2 and Vodaphone as well as the 3 network.

I got a firmware update two days ago. No random restarts since (but I think it is still too early to be sure the problem has been fixed). I am on Telenor, maybe this update is specific to them.

Baseband version: 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028D-56      <--------- new, was 203028A-49

Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perf SEMCUser@SEMCHost #1    same I think

Version: 4.0.2.A.0.42   <---------- new, was 4.0.1.A.0.283

The update above seemed fine for a couple of days, then the random resets returned:

Android version 2.3.4

Baseband version 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028D-56

Kernel version 2.6.32.9-perf SEMCUser@SECHost #1

Version 4.0.2.A.0.42

There is nothing wrong with my SIM card, it has worked in multiple other phones before this one.

My phone has same details as yours qbix and I get resets too.

I am in Australia and using an unlocked Vodafone handset on Telstra network.

Works fine most of the time, but reboots itself fairly often.
