Ram, Messages, FB Questions.

Howdy Folks!

Just wanted to ask some questions. First of all, wanted to know why does the phone shows 635 MB of ram instead of 1 GB. Secondly, the phone seems to hang when selecting multiple contacts in messages. Thirdly, Contacts don't get fully synced with facebook, eg there are no pics.  (Why are there two FB accts in contacts? One normal one other Facebook inside Xperia). Fourthly, The FB widgets seem to go blank after sometime, refreshing them don't work. Fifthly, Why the fuck isn't the support site, mobile supported? I am having hell of a problem posting this from my Xperia S.

First of all mind your language. That kind of language is not tolerated on this forum so consider yourself warned.

There are plenty of thread that describes the RAM memory and management on this forum so I suggest that you use the search tool. But to put it in short, some RAM is allocated for system, kernel and camera.

Please elaborate the contacts/messaging problem. How do you mean seems to hang? Do the phone freeze or not or does it just slow down for a moment? What you could try to do is to clear data for the messaging app (will delete your messages) but it could be a solution.

Do you contacts have the same full name as your Facebook contacts?

But you can try to log out from the FB application and clear data for the FB application found under Settings > App's > Manage app's > All. Then log in again and re-add the widget and check if it works properly.

I am very sorry for the supposedly wrong language. (I, seriously, thought that it was made legal after the non-buggy ICS update that we received.)

I searched for it, Didn't find the right one. So what you are saying is this, that 400MB of RAM is allocated for System, Kernel & Camera. My Windows 7 takes less than that RAM. The problem is this that all I could get is about 100 MB of Free Ram at a point of time, which of course is very less & makes the UI laggy. So Kindly, forward this to the developers.

First, the UI becomes laggy, Then the message application seizes to respond. Clearing Data didn't help. I tried to add multiple contacts again, but after 4-5 contacts, it begins to lag & freezes. Then I closed the app & the thing got saved as Draft but when I open the draft, the message application freezes again.

Yes, They have same full name as FB contacts. The thing is that it syncs some of the information like Birthday & FB Url but doesn't syncs the Contact Image. I tried what you said, contact image doesn't work but widgets started to work temporarily, They stopped working after 2nd Reboot.
