On running quadrant benchmark, my xperia Z showd tht its running on msm8960 chipset, which is older than apq n mdm shown in white paper n Sony website. IS quadrant benchmark correct? Anyone else facing the same problem?
Well, it could mean Sony lies the customers when it comes to processor???
Can any other app confirm the same?
Hmmm i check mine and its msm8960 too, im not familiar with the board models but knowing this makes me feel cheated.
Sony is not a small company. lol.
There must be some kinda mistakes...
PS c'mon pls. abit of common sense, sony won't cheat you on that chipset in order for higher profit margin? lol
I remember once HTC cheated its customers with processors used for HTC One S. The difference was that sometimes it had dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor instead of dual-core S4. The problem was that Qualcomm was not able to deliver such amount of processor units in this time. The situation ashamed HTC, after that the sell of HTC smartphones decreased a lot as we all remember (+ problems with HTC One X, One X +, poor 4MPx camera in One etc.).
And HTC is not a small company... Generally, I didn't say Sony did it for sure, but that it is possible at all (for many reasons).
For example:

If you were lucky, you could get S4 copy of HTC One S
You know if you are wrong, Sony can easily sue you for defamation. Anyways, download CPU/RAM/DEVICE Identifier. Post your results.
I suggest to check this information using different apps too, not only quadrant. Let it see what it will show
Could you all post a screenshot showing it?
This is a sonymobile discussion board to discuss problems, I guess Sony would rather help its customers than sue them..
Hmm, interesting indeed
