Is a screen protector necessary?

Hi there

Can anyone advise if its neccessary to fit a screen protector?

I'm using mine without a case or bumper as they make the phone too big for my pocket.

I have used the ones which came with the phone but removed them as I fitted them badly.

I have subsequently  tried two types, the Spigen one and Expertshield,  both of which I have removed. The Spigen one was useless and the Expertshield seems to have vanished from my screen after application. 

I'm wondering if they are neccessary at all, and if so can anyone recommend a good one that is scratch resistant?

I really don't want to get a massive scratch on that beautiful screen.:smileymischief:

its a Anti-Shatter Film (ASF) and if you remove it, it will void the screen's warranty, now if you are referring to an extra scratch resistant film then it will be wise to have one as the ASF its not scratch resistant

get a normal screen protector at least. even if you're careful with ur phone, accidents can happen. and while you're at it, get a bumper as well, because the coating on the sides, chipped easily. and it looks horrible when it does. i didn't use any bumper cuz it makes the phone looks ugly and and i got chipping on it now an dit sux. lol

The film originally used by Sony gets scratches VERY EASILY. it is rather NECESSARY to use protective screen for Xperia Z.

But this of course Sony is ot advertising
