Purple Spot Issues On Camera

Okay guys, unfortunately i'm having this problem on my phone.  I sent it to authorized service centre today but seems like the staff don't know how to solve this problem! Am i the only person who having this problem in Malaysia huh? By the way, is this a hardware or software issue? I'm suprised with some users solved this problem by just updating the firmware! I bought this phone on July 21st, do you think i can get a replacement? If they just repair it, my phone is consider as 2nd hand ! I hope they can give me a new phone. So frustrated with Sony.

This is a hardware issue. Return it to SONY service centre and claim a new phone of the same model.

This can be either hardware/software issue, this happened to my phone also within a week after buying it. But when I took it to Sony center, they just re-installed the software and after that my phone camera pics are clear (purple spot is not shown after that now its 2 months old)

Indeed this could be software or hardware; with this being the case please try an update and if this fails please return the phone for assessment.

Hi Sam, The Subjected Issue was there in Almost Every customer, Why cant u come with a detail Statement regarding this, This will calm down lot of customer,

For some it is Solved with Software Upgradation, others they need to exchange the Mobile...Please let us Know what is Happening.

THE PROBLEM IS WE CANNOT UPDATE!!!! THERE IS ALWAYS NO AVAILABLE UPDATE!!!!

im having the same problem with the thread starter, sony can't replace my phone too since my 7 day rep.warranty is already gone!! repair will take 3-4weeks accrdng to local sony. I am dying to try to update my phone eversince. 3 weeks already passed and there is still NO UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! my patience is running out.

I hope that if by the time comes that we can also update our phone software, the purple spot in our phone will be gone too.

Finally i got my phone back :smileyblush: well they replaced the camera lens and update the firmware to .162 from stock .564 . Its betta they fix it then replace the phone with refurbish one This is my first time in entire life i claim warranty for the phone that i just bought last 10 days. -.-"
