even with the sensor covered, it does detect a change in light level for the ambient light reading though, so i assumed it was a software problem, but the fault remains after the new software is installed.
the fault is also present when starting in safe mode.
My proximity sensor occasionally misbehaves when the other party ends the call first. The screen stays blank if I pull the phone away to hang up as they do.
If I pull the phone away mid call it seems to work OK.
Well.. Mine proximity sensor sometimes work.. Sometimes doesn't.. What i felt weird was.. It worked perfectly when i din't have any flip cover on.. Bt din't work with flip cover.. Then i tried the *#*#Service#*#* mentioned above.. N realised.. That proximity sensor works perfect when covered with anything that is not of the color "Black".. N doesn't,seem to detect black flip of the flip cover.. Hope that they can fix this.. It gets annoying sometimes.. Apart from this.. Its ultimate piece of engineering...
Mee too same problem when other party hangs the call you have to press power button to make screen on again. What's the problem. Is the repair centre won't scratch my two weeks new phone?
