Problems with the battery

Hello everyone:

I have only one question about my Sony Xperia S. I believe its baterry is too short, and I hope to get a solution for this:

First, I would like to have a specific information of how much time does the battery last? The daily use I give to my Xperia S is: I leave home at 8am and I listen to music with headphones until I get work, I generally listen to music for about 1 hour, counting all the time during the entire day. I also connect to Wi-fi for nor more than 30 minutes, just to check email, facebook and sometimes upload a photo or two. I almost never play videos or play games, I never have actually so far, just played video two times. So, my battery lasts for 14 hours when I'm lucky, and I'm only talking about a but I surprisely read in this same page that for many other users, the Xperia S battery lasts from one day to 2 when they give them the kind of use I give it.

Also, I run the battery test and I got shocked when it showed me that I don't have 1.750mAh of battery but 1.500 mAh!! Is that normal? Please, answer me as soon as possible, I read in some posts that it could be a bug but I'm not sure, that's why I'd like to get a soon answer, please.

try this, charge your phone 100% -> restart your phone -> use it normally

once you reach 10% -> settings -> about phone -> battery use -> take screenshots of the list, and the graph, tap on each item on the list and copy down how many hours/minutes/seconds they were on/open/etc and post everything here

btw if you are using antivirus, battery apps/defenders, taskillers that is draining a LOT of your battery

you can read about it here

Android apps that use power control APIs are often 'battery killers,' oh the irony

Battery life on a smartphone with a screen this size and HD should be around 8-10 hours if you use it all the time and you sync a lot of accounts (the more you sync the faster your battery will drain)

if you don't use your data plan all the time, turn it off that will increase your battery life a LOT

but please post your results in this thread

Hello uliwooly!

I'm going to do what you told me. It will take me a coupple of days until I can do what you asked me. However, you said it takes from 8 to 10 hours for the battery to drain wif I use it all the time right? I can try to do that, turn on my wi fi at home and sync my accounts, upload some pictures and just check how time it lasts. I´ll also charge the baterry to 100% after discharging it completely, I hope that improves the battery, thanks a lot I will come back to this soon! I just want to make sure its all working fine with my phone. Slightly_smiling_Face
