I have had an Xperia X10i for the last twenty months or so, and have updated it with each new release of the Android OS that has been made available via my provider (Vodafone), so am now running 2.3.3. The handset isn't rooted or flashed etc. but does have third party lock screens and launchers.
I have just been advised by my tech people from work that there is problem with me syncing to Outlook using my phone, and it seems to have strated since the 2.3 update took place towards the end of last year. My phone is apparently create large sub folders of data on our network of around 700 - 900 MB per day but no-one is sure as to why this is happening or what to do about it.
The IT solutions presented were either delete the account or buy an iphone (I don't get a free phone from work!). I am using the standard software on the phone to access both home and work emails, although as a BT Yahoo email user, I have found a better result by using the dedicated Yahoo email client app, as it allows me to access and view the home emails quickly and fully, which the SE standard app doesn't.
I had a quick look on the App market and there seem to be a few third party apps that say they can handle Exchange 2010, but most are not free, and I don't wnat to buy something if it doesn't really work.
Anyone have any thoughts?
