Problems with gps in my xperia arc

Hi, I know that there are a lot o people with problems with the gps, but I didn´t found anyone who has the same problem than me. My xperia arc is 2 years old, I´ve installed the android 4.0 with PC Companion, and everything was fine, then I started to use apps which needs gps, generally I use Waze, and i was really happy because it was everything fine and fast without using 3g, but a month ago, something happend (i don´t know what, how and why, because i did´t installed nothing new and i didn´t changed anything in the settings) and now, when i turn on the gps to to use waze, it´s all time searching gps sygnal and it can´t find it. I tried to restart the phone, or return it to original settings but nothing changes. Is there anyone who has the same problem or who know how to fix it? I was thinking to get back to the android gingerbread, but searching on internet i found that to do that i have to do a lot of things and i don´t know if it is easy and obviously if it is safe.

First of all check that you have activated the GPS and Google's location service under settings > location services.

If that doesn't help, press *#*#7378423#*#* in the phones dialer. Press service tests > GPS > purge assistance data. Restart your phone and then try again. Make sure to be outside when trying to get a signal from the GPS.

I have tried to switch off and then on the GPS (again), then I restart the phone, and now it WORKS!!!!!!

But now I´m waiting for a xperia z, so I won´t use it soo long in the xperia arc.... I hope that I won´t have the same problem with the Z.

Same problem here, before purged data and a couple of restarts GPS still don´t work.

Before that i was made a full reset getting configuration factory and... no GPS.

Any help?
