Hello SE World
I bought an Xperia X10 mini a few weeks ago and have some trouble with it. Before returning it to market, I like to know if there were some configuration issues.
The phone was bought as a free device without any brandings and bindings.
I put in my MedionMobile card (it is a reseller of the E-Plus network in germany).
First thing I recognized that my phone was rebooting at night. I put it on the powercord at night, and in the morning I had to put in my Pin. This seems nothin to do with the fullness of the battery, it just happens sometimes.
What is it?
But there is one main problem.
The phone configured itselfe the right MMS accounts, and also i added some special APN for flatrate surfing.
So far no problem, I can access internet and market without any problems.
But when I enable GPS on the device, and one application likes to use it, the data transfer icon (the 3G and two arrows) will shortly dissapeare, and come back after a second.
From this moment I'm not longer able to get a data connectivity with the Android market, or google maps. Only the UP-Arrow will blink each second, and after a while the app tells me that the network is not reachable.
The webbrowser is still working.
Then, turning the phone to the flight mode. And back again I put in my PIN and reconnect to the network. Opening google maps, and it works. The app is getting the actual position, and is loading the maps, whatever. Even then you can change the app and take "google around me", or acess the android market.
And then, after leaving some minutes untouched, I try again Internet. Works.
Try to get my GPS Position with a small GeoCaching tool. (The small conectivity icons shortly disapear again)
And then the network connection is broken again.
Most curious about this is that the webbrowser is working in every situation I got this 3G conectivity.
I tired this with Bluetooth off only. And tested with WLAN/WiFi On and Off, without noticed any changes.
From my feeling, there must be a software problem, but it seems that no one else got this problem.
Hopefully someone can found out whta is going wrong with my lovely X10 mini. Great peace of smartphone!
Best regards,
Jarvelin
