My phone's keyboard has stopped working after ICS upgrade. please provide me with some solution

So:
1) If the keyboard is a fisical keyboard (ex. qwerty on Pro Mk16) the only way is to waiting for a new upgrade or downgrade to GB
2) meanwhile, you can try with some apps like SwiftKey 3 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey&) or Swype or Tastiera Slide (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dasur.slideit&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSw....)
3) you can try to solve the problem with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service : http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/) to repair the problem
4) you can try with a factory reset of the phone (a factory reset is ever the best thing to do before an upgrade)
5) remember to restart your device after the upgrade
I am using xperia pro and my slide out keyboard had stopped working. Thank you very much for your help.
BTW the keyboard started to work after I restarted my mobile
