Problems after ICS upgrade to Neo V (unlock slider malfunction)

Hey I am from India.

I upgraded my neo v to ICS via PC companion. The phone was working fine for a few days.

Except for dialer that takes at least 4-5 seconds to open up, lately I'm facing a new problem.

Lock screen slider doesn't work properly including call answering slider. I have to slide at least 3 times to unlock the phone & the same to receive call.

Is anyone else facing this problem. How can solve this??

Hello dude,

I also observed the second problem of system registering long touch as single touch. Well, on my phone too I have to wait for about 15 seconds after screen wake up.

I have got a way work around the problem of slider unlock

1) Disable unlock phone mechanism from settings. Keep it to none coz even pattern unlock fails              completely.

2) For call answering screen, I have replaced to plain button style screen with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lowveld.ucs&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxL... ultimate call screen HD. It works fine.

Also, I read about Sony planning for 4.0.4 firmware update. I hope Sony is listening to us via this blog n they come out with some solution for this. Coz this hinders normal use of phone. I have no problem with phone dialer lag. But issues related to touchscreen are serious.

So far Sony has been kind enough to roll out the ICS upgrade in time, so I hope they address this issue in the 4.0.4 update.

for that i changed my file explorer..

earlier i was using explorer from speed software which worked well with gb but it ain't compatible with ics...

finally yesterday i downloaded fx file explorer and it works perfectly fine with the phone..:)

Well....for me suddenly the problem is solved!!!!

I'm very glad that my display is working again! It has been for about 3 months since I was facing the problem.

Unfortunately I do not have a clear solution to this, but I can explain what I did that day, and hopefully the solution is in there. But I can not garantee it.

What I did that day

1. I tried to get beats audio working, so I had installed a numerous of Beats libs. (see xda-developers for some of those libs). The last one I tried was Walkman port by ThilinaC. Not sure how this can be related to the display issue

2. I flashed a new rom. But this time I formatted /system and /data in CWM. Normally I just did a factory reset and installed the new rom. (but guess factory reset also formats /system and /data)

Still....guess this has nothing to do with the display

3. I did a offline charge. When my phone was empty I wanted to charge it fast. So I switched off my phone, and then connected the charger to offline charge the phone.

Really not sure how the above points could be a solution to de display failure, but guess if it was the digitizer that was the problem, it's strange that it is fixed out of knowhere....but the above actions are what I did that day....so maybe it's helpful and is the solution in there...maybe.

I am using xperia neo v since Jan 2012. in past couple of month, i have touch issues, pattern unlock is not working. app opening slowly... like all you have registered here...

 

Today, I found an option in app menu "Google Settings"

When i opened that, i found "connected apps" option.

When i clicked, it shows a **bleep** lot of conencted apps, which i never known to.

 

I removed one by one...

Only kept option of Facebook and messanger...

 

This is it...

All the touch issues are resolved.

Please try this and if you are succeded then spread the news...
