Problem with Xperia Z1 Compact after software update

my device is shutdown with assage "your device turned off due to over heating" and not on. when I plug charger in device the massage displays " your device shutdown due to over heating. charging will continue after the device has cooled down". But not cooled in 48 hours. battery status is 52% remaing. please help

Does this happen when you charge the device? Are you using it while charging?

no, I am not using while charging.

Haven't things improved? If not, can you check if the same occurs in safe mode?
