Hello,
I have a Sony Xperia Ion, and since this WE, I have a problem with it.
I was listening music when I received a SMS, and suddently the mode Headset (with the little symbol at the left top corner) was set. I noticed that the sound volume changed at this moment.
Since this event, my phone always reads all my SMS received. I tried to deactivate the voice but it seems that all is already deactivated.
I add that at this moment, I had 2 smart actions defined but no one was activated. One of these contained at this moment the function of reading SMS when they are received, but this smart action was not in function and I deleted this function since this event.
I was in Settings, Language and ??? (in French it's Saisie, I don't know the translation in english), in Voice (below keyboard settings), I saw a menu "output of voice synthesis" with options on Pico but nothing is available to disable it.
Moreover, in Settings, Accessibility, Talkback is deactivated.
I don't understand why with my current settings, the SMS are still read by Pico.
Could someone help me to fix this problem?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
If you have Talkback disabled then this should not be happening. With this being the case it would be worth running an update/repair to resolve this:
1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.
3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connection steps
