After performing the update, are you downloading applications from the Play Store, this may be more related to the type of applications you are downloading and the settings you are using.

Well,I actually download applications from the Android Market.I am not using the PlayStore.I normally download Opera Mini,Winamp,Skype,Google Drive. But today again I did re-install the software and now it is clear of any apps and games and it is working normally.I will wait untill the battery goes completly dead and then I will charge it.Maybe it is from the wrong charging?Because I normally plug it in when the battery goes low, about 15-20% ,even sometimes 30%.

Keep us updated on what happens, would be great to find out what happens with this device without any apps.

Hi,

I have a Xperia X8 as well and I have the same problem.

I only have 3 apps installed, skype, Advanced taskkiller and Whatsapp.

When I charge my phone overnight it says it has a full battery.

But I have only 3% battery life left after 4 or if I'm lucky 5 hours.

I haven't tried to re-install the software yet.. And my brightness is turned all the way down.

So, your not alone Dani Slightly_smiling_Face

It's hard to say what is causing the problem, the phone or the battery.  The only thing you can really do is try another battery in it to rate that battery's performance.  If you get the same results, try reloading the phone's OS Desktop Software before buying a new battery.  Batteries are quite pricey so I suggest trying those two ideas before going out and getting a new one.........http://www.nitrotek.it
