hello, i notice that settings button is less responsive than home and return button. Also the return button is brighter than home and home brighter than settings button. I searched over the internet and i have seen that almost all users have noticed the same behaviour. Does sony has a fix for that issue? Is sony informed about that? Is sony able to provide a fix? I would like to mention that when phone is plugged in wall charger settings button gets more responsive but not as the others.. I assume that may be a software issue or you think is a hardware issue? Because of many people reporting this and i have read xda developers forum also i believe that this may be caused by a software bug? Can you inform the developers internally to check this issue and if it is not a software issue to inform about a hardware fix? I contacted Arvato which is a sony service center and they said that if they replace the strip led bar this behaviour would be same but they dont know the reason..
I also noticed the same, the 'menu' button is less responsive than other 'back' and 'home' buttons. Also the lighting is uneven.
I think that someone from the support must report these issues to the developers and the company because these issues are not figured out by one or two customers but from the most or all of them..Please tell us what to do..
PS : I have paid 399 euros for this device..I think that you must support all users..
yes... not only few... is many many many customers facing this issue... sony support should giv us a solution
Also please consider the following.. The battery can be removed from service center to be replaced..So you notice that all users are also complaining for the battery..It's only 1305 Mah.. A battery of 1850Mah is available for xperia T and a battery of 1500Mah for other xperia's. Xperia P has the weakest battery. Please consider this and inform company. In this forum i can count hundrends of posts complaining about that..Will you leave all customers like that? A larger capacity battery is needed for all of us.
Sony is preparing JB for Xperia P. But JB will use gpu and cpu to make smoother the ui.. This will consume 15% more battery from an already weak one.. I am a dev also.. Dev's are making JB rom as it is requested by Sony but consider battery life please.. Provide higher capacity batteries to service centers even if we must pay a small fee to replace it..
And a more stable JB version is 4.2.1 and not 4.1 as sony wants to upgrade our phones.
Sorry to hear about the problems you've faced guys.
If you face these kind of issues I'd recommend you to hand your phone in to one of our authorized service shops for a check and fix.
To find out how you easiest hand your phone in please contact your local Sony Mobile support. You can find contact info on the link below.

Concerning the battery there's only one model availalbe for the Xperia P as far as I'm aware. It's not the same size/model of battery in all our phone's, it very's depending on many factors.

hey dude, complain is useless la... i already complaint 3 times regarding this issue, but come out with worser and worser situation. initially my phone facing setting button insensitivity, i take it ti sony centre, they refuse to change to me. then i complaint to HQ, they changed to me finally. but came back with all button non- sensitive, but i accept it beacuse at least the sensitivity of all button are same now. and again, i found that there is scratch inside my transparent belt, so i complaint again, they change one for me, and the belt came back with setting button unsensitive also and plus they give one more trouble for me. inside the belt i realise there is a crack. initially i thought that there is onky wire trap inside, but when time goes, it become more reveal and more, and it is a crack. now i m not able to go service centre because i m not around the area nad very far from service centre... what a sad case to me
Same here with relation to soft keys illumination, it is uneven, the center one, the home, is dimmer that the other two. If you watch from the bottom , you can notice a kind of mask not to let one to see directly the three leds, and that mask is kind of warped. Is it a Sony ?
Sorry but most of users report these issues..It is a hardware issue? So almost all devices need a fix? Inform the developers also..As for the battery check if sony may upgrade the battery..
