Problem with recognising incoming calls.

Problem with recognising incoming calls.

Hi,

I have recently bought my xperia X10 mini pro but have the following problem.

When receiving an incoming call the display always shows "unknown caller" even though it is a person in my address book/a contact with picture attached and everything.

I have tried the following:

- reinstalling the software.

- adding my country code before every phone number.

- Imported my contacts.

Having looked in the manuel i cannot find anything about this problem, so i am hoping you guys have an answer.

Thanks

Lars

Hi,

What about numbers that AREN'T stored in your phone book? It sounds like you might not have caller ID activated.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

It's all numbers it won't recognise also the ones that aren't in my phone book, so the "caller activation" sounds like a possibility but can you tell me where i can activate it?

Kind regards

Lars

As far as I can tell there is no way to disable/enable caller ID within the phone itself.

I'd check with your Service Provider, and see what they can do on there end.

HI,

Even I am facing the same problem. I think the problem is with the phone itself. Kindly help me.

Thanks.

Hi,

Jeff was right in his earlier answer.

I contacted my service provider and it turned out that in the process of activating my new mobile they had by mistake turned of a feature that provides the caller ID.

Apparently it is a setting that can only be turned on/off by your service provider and without it being turned on your phone will not recognise any incoming calls.

Kind regards

Lars
