Recently bought my Xperia S (LT 26i) and tried to connect it to my BMW E60 bluetooth system which worked with my iPhone and Nokia E71 perfectly. Car and my Xperia pairs with no problems, but the bluetooth connection repeatedly goes on and off every 15-20 seconds. That's very annoying.
Tried to pair/unpair both car and phone several times. Rebooted phone several times too. Nothing helps. Any solutions?
I'm running Android 4.0.4. Build number 6.1.A.0.452.
Common! New protocols must include the early ones. My xperia Z have the last BT version. This is something that Sony must fix soon.
OK! I found a kind of solution for my BMW. Tur on BT in the Z only after initialize the i-drive (ignition). Works prefecly (incoming or outcoming calls & contacts) Not 100% but works! In any case I hope the next android 4.2 can fix that...
OK, my car is 2003 BMW, BT worked fine with Xperia arc and all other phones.
I had the same problems as discussed here, however this worked for me although inconvenient.
1. Ensure BT is off on the phone.
2. Start engine and then activate the BT on the phone,
This method of connection worked for me for the last few days, all be it a bit inconveneinet especially if you pop in an out of your car !
In cocnlusion it seems the connection is NOT mainatained if BT is already activated on the phone.
