Recently bought my Xperia S (LT 26i) and tried to connect it to my BMW E60 bluetooth system which worked with my iPhone and Nokia E71 perfectly. Car and my Xperia pairs with no problems, but the bluetooth connection repeatedly goes on and off every 15-20 seconds. That's very annoying.
Tried to pair/unpair both car and phone several times. Rebooted phone several times too. Nothing helps. Any solutions?
I'm running Android 4.0.4. Build number 6.1.A.0.452.
Do you mean that the Bluetooth turns off and on by itself or is it just the connection that's being dropped and reconnected?
It sounds like the bluetooth audio bug that sony hasn't fixed yet in ics.
I think it drops connection 😕
On my device Xperia neo V with Android 2.3 worked perfectly. After upgrading to Android 4.0, it makes pairing the device with automotive. I'm waiting for the update to Android 4.0 solution.

i have same problem my xperia can't find headphones with bluetooth what shuld i do?
Let's hope the Android update with the solution of these problems. If someone send me solution before, I publish here.
I'm not sure but try this : go to Settings>Bluetooth>Activate Bluetooth>press the button on the right>visibility timeout then choose (one hour) or (Never timeout)
Have the same issue with a Xperia Z and my BMW E60 (2004). I can make a call but I have no audio in the car. Then my connection goes down.
I have a Sony Car Stereo with bluetooth installed in my car and it works perfect. It pairs quickly, doesnt drop connection, plays music thru my car stereo speakers & can receive & make calls without having to pick up my phone at all.
Maybe the software is designed to work well with Sony car audio systems. Maybe the next update will fix all issues you guys are having.
