problem with headphone operating after 4.3 update

Hi, I've recently updated my phone to 4.3 jellybean. There is some problems, like when my screen is locked and if I connect my headphone (original) the smart connect apps doesn't start also if I press the headphone button music doesn't start. If I press the power button then the smartconnect starts but headphone button dose not work. Ok now if I connect the headphone with my phone unlocked the smartconnect apps starts and headphone button works after that if I lock my phone it also works. But previously when my phone was in 4.1 jellybean the problem mention above was not there. Please fix this as soon as possible.

1).Go to settings>>apps>>all>>smart connect and clear data, restart your phone.

2).Do a factory reset to your phone.

Have you tried using different earphones ?? if it is doing same then problem might be with the phone , last what you can do is restoring the phone (will erase everything, make sure you have back up)

if worked then its problem with the earphone of yours

Thanks manjuboyz, but it's not the headphone's problem. It's rhe new update whic is creating the problem. Sony should realease some patch to fix this bug and also there is much more bugs on the new jellybean 4.3. I am totally disappointed after this update.

I have the same problem. My headphones worked perfectly until I installed 4.3 update.

None of the solutions with reseting or cleaning smartconnect data work. Headphones work only if I plug&unplug the jack several times. 

I checked the 3.5 socket, it's clean and when start to work, there is no problem like when the socket is dirty/broken.

I'll try to downgrade the system, 4.3 hangs the phone and caused lots of problems with the graphics, icons and overall performance. In general, I'm dissapointed with the update.
