Problem repair support

Hi everyone.
I would like to ask for your guidance.
I bought my Xperia z3 compact in australia but im living in France.
Recently my jack plug and sd card plug wont work anymore.
I try to send my phone to the repair center but i dont have my original purchase ticket anymore and the french support dont want to take my phone because it's from australia.
So, can i have access to repairing even without my original purchase ticket ? (my phone is still under warranty)

Ideally they should still accept the phone for repair but with a fee, even if the warranty is not honored. It is made by sony afterall.

To my knowledge the warranty for devices bought on another continent will not be valid I'm afraid. Your Local support will be able to answer that question better.

However, should the device be launched on both markets you might be able to have it repaired for a fee. Contact our French contact center for more information.

I have noticed that in some countries phones (and other aplicances) are sold with different warranties: Local and international. Local warranty normally cheaper than international. In Malaysia, where I'm living, a lot of tourists fall in that trap buying 'cheap' only to discover it is only covered by local warranty (AP) and not international.

Hi, as i was trying to get a repair in France for my phone bought in australia, they told me to go back in australia for repairs...
The fée to get my repair in France is very expensive (half the price of the phone...)
So disapointed of the Sony care...

I also found out the hard way that there is no international warranty in products bought in Australia or New Zealand ( I've payed for a screen replacement )

It's absurd that a mobile phone doesn't have international warranty...it's mobile!!!!

What is the Sony Tourist Limited Warranty?

The Tourist Limited Warranty (TLW), where issued and completed by the Dealer, is for customers of Sony Australia and New Zealand to have certain products covered by Sony Australia and New Zealand's manufacturers warranty outside the country of purchase. If the product fails during the 1 year warranty period, users can receive in-warranty repair service in the countries / areas listed on the TLW card (refer to below for list of Repairer countries), provided the fault condition falls within the terms and conditions of the manufacturers warranty.

Please note that this Sony Limited Warranty ONLY applies outside the country of purchase. Nothing in this Limited Warranty purports to modify or exclude the conditions, warranties and undertakings, and other legal rights, under laws and regulations within the country of purchase.
