Hi,
I have bought a new xperia M dual sim mobile on last friday. I shared a file (songs, photos, applications) through bluetooth from another mobile (xperia tipo).
I have inserted SD card(san disk). All the shared files are stored in internal storage. Its not stored in SD card. After this issue i contacted my friend who has Xperia M single sim mobile.
I checked in the xperia M single sim phone settings-->storage-->SD card-->miscellanous(transfer data to SD card).
i checked the same in my phone's settings ... the miscellaneous (transfer data to SD card) part is missing.
So i assume this is my phone's problem.
So could you please help me to rectify the issue.
Regards,
Ramesh
Its different software versions in Xperia M and Xperia M dual, so some settings may differ as well.
In this case the transfer data to SD.
I suggest that you use any file manager app from Google Play store to transfer your data between your Internal storage and SD card.
Yes John. I used " ES File explorer" to transfer files. Eventhough,Everthin stored in internal memory.I have changed the path settings also. But of no use. The transferring files are directly stored in internal memory (2GB). Please help me in this.
As I understand incoming files via Bluetooth will always be stored on the first partition which is the Internal storage.
But commonly when we are sharing the files(songs, videos) , photos , etc... through bluetooth it will save in SD card only.
This thing is not happening in my phone.
That's something I haven't noticed myself before.
Are you able to see any connection to why certain files end up on the Internal storage? Different size or file format on the files?
Ok, but are you able to see any connection why some files end up on Internal storage and some on your SD card?
Are the larger files put on SD card or vice versa? Or what happens if you transfer the same file over and over again? WIll it end up in the same storage space all the time?
I have tried to replicate this but wasn't able to, all files I tried with ended up on the Internal storage as supposed.
Hi,
I too facing same problem!!!!!
Even all files downloaded from internet is going to phone memory! It should not be!
We can't move every files to SD card by using other file transfer software all the time!!!
There should be option to store it in SD card. We are able to store our camera photos to SD! Why not this??
(even my old android phone which is running in android 2.1 allows me to store data in SD card.)
Please do the needful!!
