price drop of sony z

I bought my sony in the month of march for rs 39000 approx 600 dollars.
At that time sony describes it as best of sony.
But barely 6 months later they come up with z1 which now costs around the same price.
This has resulted in price drop of 8000 rs i.e.120 dollars.
I mean seriously that much!!!
I can understand small price drops due to time but this is ridiculous...
Every smartphone company waits a year to launch their next flagship model...
I fell kind of cheated as i feel that i could waited for z1...

Yester day i got a mail which is forwarded from a sony worker. That is the discounted prices.

And all discounts are min of 40% including ultra, z, zl and tablet z.

What I heard is discount is on not much selling products. Not sure how much it is true but I can buy xperia mobile 40% less than market price if I want to.
