I play an app game and use a database website to help me through the game or find other players.
Whenever I switch between the game and Chrome, the phone closes the game.
This means I need to restart the game app and usually whatever I was doing in the game.
Sometimes chrome gets closed out too and I have to wait for it to reload the page I was on.
There plenty of RAM left (phone is usually at 50% capacity) and I'm switching between the game and Chrome using the window switching button on the bottom right.
I've tried the "limit background processes" in the developer options but it didn't help.
Is there a way to force apps to stay active?
Is it possible to predict how it behaves? Sometimes it closes out the app, other times it doesn't.
If it closes apps out all the time then it wouldn't even give the appearance of "multitasking". I'm sure andriod is able to some sort of multi-tasking.
Other support forums seem to suggest its manufacture specific as other players of the game don't have the same problem.
If you have other apps and/or services running in the background it will force close this other apps. You could check the XDA Forum, perhaps someone has a suggestion.
There was a recent update pushed to my Z3 yesterday. I hear it's supposed to fix the multitasking issues. I haven't given it a try but reviews from other users are saying that it's fixed. The update also brought back Stamina Mode which is nice...
