I'm Renata from Indonesia.
I just bought the Xperia ZL series, I'm so in love with it.
Until... the "sudden death" happen 10 days after I bought it.
I went to the Sony Service Center on Senayan City - Jakarta.
They check my phone, and the problem seems to be the power source.
And they said it is indeed a manufacturing defect.
I did nothing wrong to the phone.
They said they will service it, but it will takes up to 3 months.
WHOA!
1. I'm using it for only 10 days, why should I wait for 3 months for it to be repaired?
Can you imagine 3 months without having your phone?! I need it for works!
2. If it's a manufacture defect, why should it be repaired. Shouldn't it be exchanged with a new phone?
3. Why would you sell a defective item on the first place? Don't you have a quality control over your product?
Now, I am really disappointed with the service and the product.
Please do something about this problem immediately.
India isn't any better. Perhaps Sony service is LIKE.NO.OTHER
Sorry to hear about your phone.
3 months to have the phone repaired/replaced doesn't sound right. A service should not take that long. Have you tried contacting your local Sony Xperia support about this? See this page for contact details: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/.
We do of course have a strict quality control but something may still go wrong after delivery. What options you have depends on your country region so i recommend that you contact your local support to see if you can have it replaced.
Hello Renata iam from jakarta too, do you know, iam have the same problem with you, my Xperia ZL have problem with speaker internal and my second camera didn't work, i think i must repair this in sony center Roxy, but what they say ? its been make a much time, average in 2 months, but i say wow, its to long time, and i say to they "i want to replace my phone" because its just in 1 day after i buy it, and they replace my phone, and my question is, are they give you 3 days shop warranty after you buy you device ? because i get it, and i think Sony Care Indonesia must have a lot techinition where must much profesional than before, because we are sony customer in indonesia never felt comfort about Sony Care in our Countrys.
707renata have you tried doing a operating system wipe? since some times these repair center makes up excuses to just earn money so they blame something is broken when truth is there is nothing wrong at all, so try doing a full re-install off your phone if issue continues then it is a manufacture defect other wise some times it's just the operating system itself having a bug so it gets a sudden death but phone is fine itself just that you need to re-install to see if issue still comes if not then guy in service center was just trying to earn money by making up a false story.

Coz , it seem that I have a similar case of a POOR SERVICE of SONY Service Center for my Z Ultra.
It's more than 2 weeks my Z Ultra at Roxy SONY SC, without any explanation and never reach their contact number.
Very bad experience with SONY, like no other.
My dear SONY, please do something about it.
