plain and simple questions about x8

Hello, does SE plans in future updates (since they don't want to upgrade to android 2.2 in x8 wich is ridiculous , the HW supports it well ) add SD app transfer and multitouch ?

When is this expected? android 2.3 is out there and X8 users are stuck with an old version.

I don't care much about multitouch, but saving apps to SD is a MANDATORY update , Got my X8 1 week ago just to realize that SE won't upgrade Android anymore and this is a BIG dissapointment. Making your apps to install in SD is a basic function for a smartphone , and more having an evolving and dynamic OS such Android.

SE will maintain the Eclair, but there will be no official 2.2 upgrade.

If your phone is rooted, there is several excellent guides on the web how to install Apps2D. The digitizer does support dual touch and i hope that SE will incorporate it in a future update.

Thanks for the reply , I managed to root my phone since my carrier hasnt oficially updated  yet to 2.1 , (can you believe this ? ):s So I updated manually via rooting and then I was reading about the ways to install apps 2 sd on my phone, but also read your post about those new SE firwmares for x8 so I hope those are the new updates we are expecting for.

Just in case you need to send your phone to SE service center, dont' forget to restate the original SE firmware.  In this case, you won't void any warranty SE is talking about.

i m stuck with 2.1 on w8 nd have just purchased it nd SE has no plans to update it either nd let me know if gingerbread can be loaded on this w8.
x8 nd w8 have same hardware .
its like same stuff wrapped in a new box .
