Good morning, does anyone know how to set up the xperia so that the photographs save directly to the memory card as oppossed to default save in the phone memory?
Here is another strange one with my xperia, when I connect to my PC it does not automatically offer me the option to save the photos and when I do save them they appear in a locked format which of course I cannot access! any ideas on how to transfer data to a PC where I can view and work with the files woudl be much appreciated.
Regards
Paul
You are mistaken. In Xperia the photos are automatically saved in sd card itself. Infact you cannnot even take a snap with out the sd card inserted. You can find your photos in a folder named DCIM. Well for connecting with pc, you must have got a data cable shipped with the phone. Use the cable to connect to your pc. For saving images to your pc, just open the folder DCIM and you can see the folder 100MSDCF, open it to see the images taken by camera. Note that you have to copy jpg images from the folder and not the files from thumbnails folder.
Are you using the PC Companion to access your phone's memory? I had trouble with using just Windows explorer to access the SD card. I use both File Manager and Media Go to access my phone and cope/move over to my pc.
