thanks for posting .. please report back
It hadn't crashed but I decided to run a software repair through PCC utility for good measure.
When I set it up again I updated everything (including "Video") except the "What's New" app.
And I disabled automatic updates in every place where apps update themselves.
It went from crashing 2 or 3 times per hour to crashing just once in 4 hours, after I uninstalled the update for "What's New".
The last time it crashed was before the "Xperia Lounge" app updated earlier, about 6 hours ago. Then I did the software repair in PCC.
My guess is it could have been either or both of those apps causing the crashes. If it crashes again I'll be stumped as to what it could be.
Like I said, it hasn't crashed since 6 hours ago. I'll report back if it crashes again.
If I don't post in this thread again it means my problem has been solved.
It's still crashing. I'm doing a replacement through the carrier.
I 'm able to identify the issue .. it works well without any problems when not signed into google account. All problems start as soon as , i login to google account & start using google play store.
For me it still crashed without being logged into google.
Hi Radun ,
If you are familiar with using flashtool , u can follow the below post and do a flash , which might fix the issue. It wont void your warranty.
That's a 3rd party website. Xperia rumors site. I'm not doing that. The device is in warranty, the technicians at the repair depot can do it if they think it will help.
I was reading the other subforums and official people said bad SD cards and bad SIM cards can cause random shutdowns. Nobody mentioned that in this thread. I didn't try running it without my 5 year old SD card, before I sent it off to be replaced by the carrier. Maybe it didn't need to be replaced, maybe it was my old SD card. If the next one has the same problem I'll try it without the SD card.
Hi , try below options & report back ,
1. Do a software repair & check
2. Test without SIM & SD card
3. Try without login to play store
4. Last disable cloud print option from settings & check
