Phone Powers Down After Using GPS and Google Navigation for 20 Minutes

I've got the AT&T version of the Xperia ION (LT28at)  (Build: 6.1.C.105) Whenever I have GPS turned on and try to use Google Maps Navigation, the phone shuts itself down after 20 - 25 minutes of navigation. I try to power up the phone and use GPS again, but it shuts itself down again after 5 minutes or less. I've already ran the software repair utility in PC Companion and it didn't resolve the issue. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone found a solution to the problem?

I suggest that you try to run a software reinstall using SUS.
