Phone not locking

My Sony phone doesn't lock even when I change from pin,password to pattern could you please help I use my phone for work.

@Laura_56 Can you please elaborate? If you turn off the display using the power button, what happens?

When I turn the screen on, I swipe up and it immediately goes to the home screen. Didn't ask me for a password

Are you sure you have set a password/pin etc under settings - security?
