Phone heats up after call or during playing games

I spent around 3/4 th of my salary to buy this mobile and I see problem in camera, battery heating up and less touch sensitivity. I always prefered Sony even though many scolded me not to buy Sony mobile product. But this time I am thinking not to buy any phones from Sony. :smileycry:. Did mistake by spending 30K. feeling very bad.

I can advise that the handset may heat up during calls and while gaming however the device should never get to a point were the heat is to hot to handle.

Does the handset get to a point where you are uncomfortable with the heat?

Sir, I have used sony w810i, sony xperia x10 mini pro and now Xperia S. I always like playing games on mobile. But I have seen that after using this mobile for half an hour it heats up. Either am playing movies or games it heats up. Basic user need is not meeting here. Sorry for Sony lovers. As a Sony user my wish was that Xperia models should defeat all other Smartphones but am feeling bad here.

SIr, I have got "sony xperia s" handset since august 2012. Recently I am facing problems like "over-heating" during a phone call or when 3G is on. Even the battery life is mediocre; I have to charge twice a day, even if the handset is 100% charged when I start my day. Also I my phone is "lagging"; this may be because I have a lot of applications installed. Advice me what to do to overcome these problems?...And when is the JB update coming for xperia s in India?....Also is the AOSP for xperia s withdrawn from google?.....

Recently I even read in the forum that, there are problems with "Bravia Engine" after ICS update....How do I determine whether that problem persists or not in my phone?

Please help.......Don't ignore loyal sony fans like me.....

I have took this mobile in April-12. I also have the same issue, for no reason the device gets heated up whil playing games, movies, browsing and continous talk over phone. I would expect sony would address this thermal issue for the users at the earliest.

I have Xperia S purchased in Sep'12. For first two months it was nice experience. After two months of use, my phone started heating in upper right corner (near micro sim card slot) , when i use my phone for more than 30 minutes continusly for browsing/gaming.

I have not see any heating issues during calls/charging.

Kindly address my issue.

I am also having same problem wil my xperia sl,i even talked with sony operators but still they can't provide me the exact cause and keep on tolerating this issue and just point to the software problem.

It's a humble request that you do provide the exact fault,now it's really irritating to use this phone with such an overheating problem and as of now for these summer days it will be hardly possible for me to even put it close to my ears due to exccesive heat.

Sony has really dissaponited me with such product and no solutions to the problems within the device.

I'm encountering the same problem with my Xperia SL. I bought it early this March. To be specific, it heats up when playing 3D games that I would think use up a lot of the processor's bandwidth. The problem is not just the heat but the game slows down. The same games I play are being played on a lower-end non-Sony phone and it doesn't encounter the same problem. I hope Sony does something about this.
