Hi,
I was doing software update, my computer asked me to connect a phone in a flashing mode (with held VOLUME DOWN button), Windows started to install new devices but it seems that failed. After this I tried to turn on my phone but it doesn't respond, neither with a combo VOLUME UP+POWER. Phone is not charging at all. Computer says it's "unknown device" - without pressing any button and with pressing VOLUME DOWN button. Is there any help for me?
You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
Nothing happens, because for computer it's "an unknown device". I checked on two.
When performing the system repair as detailed above do you when asked with the phone switched of hold volume down then connect your USB cable - This should begin the Flashing/repair process
Nothing at all. I've installed flashmode drivers, I've checked this on two computers and still nothing. "Unknown Device" and Companion doesn't even react. Looks like the system crashed completely or something.
I have exactly the same problem. None of the steps you recommended worked. Please advise!
