Hi ALL

Cn someone please tell me why i can connect to Windows xp and browse my phone files but WINDOWS7 doses not pick it up,i used to be able to do it with windows 7. i uninstalled pc companion on Windows 7 and now it does'nt pick up the phone

Have you tried reinstalling PC Companion?

pc companian is installed once the phone is detected and windows 7 does'nt pick up the phone,but it detects my phone on friend pc running xp.

Try downloading one from the web as the pre loaded PCC might not run properly

hi,thanks for the link...

still reluctant to update to latest software so i am first going to try the cable i used at my friends house before i do the update.

i am thinking that maybe my phone is unstable because i need to run an update.i tried reinstalling pc companion and that didnt help,still doesnt detect my phone,but my friend who is running xp detects it immediately and it actually wants to load pc companion,strange thing is my pc running windows 8 used to detect my phone..

does anyone know if it is possible to undo an update if it makes phone  unstable

This sounds related to the Drivers on the PC to be honest.

Try putting the device in USB Debug mode and try connecting the device again.

Menu > Settings > About Phone > Tap Build Number 7 times > Press the back button > select Developer Options > Turn on USB Debug mode.

Give this a try and let us know.
