PC Companion Restore

I own both a Z3 Comact and Z3.

I would like to back up both and swap phones.  Restore the the Z3c to the Z3 and reverse.  IE, when I give my wife her phone back it will have all her settings, apps, sms, mms, and pictures.  Just on the Z3.

Will that work?

You cannot restore a backup file on a different device or firmware. What you can do is use xperia transfer.

Follow @alexdon's suggestion, if you have an USB OTG cable, you can transfer everything a lot faster.
