GPS updates slowly

Hi everyone!

I have had a look around breifly for a fix to my problem but seems I can't find one.

Has anybody actually found the solution to not being able to fix on to any satellites?

My GPS was working fine, then all of a sudden it wont track my runs or I can't use it as a sat nav on google maps!! It can find where I am when using wifi but as soon as I leave it will update my location around every 3-6 minutes, obviously not very helpful when I'm using sat nav and have no idea where I am!! I have tried all the usual, switching it on and off, resetting, using gps fix apps, diagnostics (can't get a fix on my location), I have sent my phone off to o2 to be repaired but they are saying they can't touch it due to the charging case falling off it is not in a "warranty state". I just got "Well if you had bought insurance it would have been covered", cheers o2, I love a good sales pitch when I'm in desperate need of my training buddy!! I need my running apps back!!! Also Sony, if you could tell me if you have a warranty state procedure to allows you to decide whether or not you will fix a problem with a phone's hardware?

Now as much as I love paying for a phone that doesn't the one thing I need it for, it would be absolutely fantastic if Sony could please reply to this message without stating the obvious things to try (like they have on all the other messages I've read) and please tell me what is wrong with my phone so I can decide whether I need to get it looked at or whether it is just a software glitch.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

This is a user based forum, if you want to contact Sony this is how >>> Local support

If you haven't already I would > repair the phone with PCC > and test it again, that will narrow down the issue, if you experience the same after PCC then it might be a hardware issue.

On a side note, settings > location > is it set to high accuracy or just GPS?

It was on high accuracy but also tried the other options, nothing seems to work. My phone is still with o2 at the moment so waiting for it to come back so will try to repair it with PCC but that doesn't seem to be working for anyone else! I'll give anything a shot though!

Thank you!
