Notifications Do Not Work

Hi,

I have an Xperia Z 6603 and although I can get the mail and gmail to notify me and put an icon in the ststus bar, try as I might I cannot get twitter or facebook to alert me to incoming(s).

I have tried both natively and using Light Flow Pro but nothing.

Please could anyone advise me what I should do?

I came to Xperia from a Blackberry background as I am disabled and partually sighted and wanted the facilities, but if I cannot get the basics to work I think I have mad a mistake.

Do you have notifications turned on in the specific applications and do you have stamina mode enabled?
