I have set only one alarm. When the alarm starts ringing i dont get the option to stop it but sliding on the screen.
I am not able to set it off even by using the volume key.
Isn't it weird that the power button will not stop the alarm but will hide the option to stop it. Smart way of Sony making sure that people wake up on time by making them to do stop alarm exercise every day.
This happened to me today morning... really annoying.. It ended up waking my husband also.. and we both in turn were trying to stop the alarm.. Finally, frustated, we just switched off the phone..
I was on youtube app last night and after finishing just kept the phone away without locking. And when the alarm went off today morning, I couldnot see the swipe to turn off or snooze.. moreover, the side key behaviour on my phone is set to snooze, but that never seems to be working.. the side key did not snooze the alarm.
Sony folks, you seriously need to re-design this feature... When the alarm goes off, it should not be minimized (intentionally or by accident) before it is either snoozed or stopped.
Go to AppInfo -->Find SecureClockService --> Check if "ShowNotification", (in Screnshot its german: "Benachrichtigungen zeigen"), Checkbox is set to enabled --> Voila!
Problem: When I upgrade my zr to kitkat, there is no notification in turning off the alarm
Resolution: Settings->Apps->All->Clock->check the "Show Notification"
xxx1 - Top tip. :smileysmileythumbsup:
I have had the same issue the last few mornings, Thanks xxx1. Easy fix
Go into settings - Apps then slide the screen twice to the right to find all apps. Scroll down to clock and the click the show notifications box. It will work again. I tried resseting my alarm, this fix works.

Do you see the slider at first but then it goes away? If so, could it perhaps be what i mentioned earlier that you accidentally tap the home button which will minimize it? If so, just swipe down the notification bar and tap the alarm in the list there.
If that's not the issue, try clearing data for the app called Clock under Settings -> Apps -> All and then set your alarm again.
