Not able to stop alarm on Xperia ZR

I have set only one alarm. When the alarm starts ringing i dont get the option to stop it but sliding on the screen.

I am not able to set it off even by using the volume key.

As I understand you should use the swipe the slide from left to right to turn off the alarm.

I'm not sure I fully understand your post but it sounds like you see the slide feature when the alarm starts ringing?

Issue is i dont see the slide when the alarm starts ringing.

If i press lock button then i get pattern to unlock the screen.

I am also not able to stop the alarm with volume button.

If you edit your alarm, you can configurate the function of the volume keys. By deafault they are set to "do nothing".

But normaly you should also see a slider while the alarm is ringing together with a snooze button.

I have the same problem. The slider is sometimes gone when the alarm starts. Perhaps because I pressed something else on the screen. Only way to turn off the alarm is to press the power button and shutdown. Anoying bug...

I've now managed to repeat the bug. 1. set an alarm. 2. press the power button and wait for the alarm. 3. when it sounds and the slider is displayed, slide the top menu row down so that the slider is hidden. 4. press the home button and now the slider is gone and the alarm cannot be turned off so easy.

This might be one of the way to reproduce the issue but I don't think I did so many steps when the alarm is triggered. I was sleeping when it started ringing and didn't saw the slider to stop it.

If you press the home button while the alarm is ringing you will minimize the alarm. To access it again and turn it off you need to slide down the notification bar and tap the alarm to see the slider again.

Is it true even if my phone is in locked state. I mean my phone was locked when alarm started ringing.

This will happen even when screen is off or when phone is locked.
