Hi, Recently my fone stopped reponding via the touch-screen, If any operation requires touching the screen it can't operate. I have to turn it off by removing the battery, the on button works but once turned on I can't get past the initial screen i.e. by swiping the padlock symbol. It did get damp in my pocket in the rain but worked fine until the next day when I took it off charge and thats when the problem started, its 13 months old so just out of warranty, would replacing the screen work? my partner is quite capable of doing this. thanks.
This seems to be a hardware issue, you should stop by your local Sony Xperia Care to see the extend of the damage, if its only the digitizier then that should be quite easy and cheap to DIY, if its the motherboard then you are out of luck as this is the most expensive part of the phone
