I had the same issue. Normal ear phone and mic not working when making or receiving calls.
Also I couldnt hear any music playing.
This is a software glitch and not hardware.
To fix it you need to follow these steps.
Plug in your headset into the audio jack. Play a music song and you will hear the music. Unplug it while its still playing and the song will pause automatically. Press play and the music will start playing on the loud speaker. Problem should be solved.
Then repeat this making a phone call. Call someone with the handsfree kit plugged in the audio jack. During the call unplug it and you will now be able to hear and speak without load speaker.
Its as though the software thinks you have something plugged in the audio jack bypassing the normal ear phone and mic.
Worked for me and hope this works for others.
