How come when I receive a text message, it does not display the persons name sending the text, only shows a phone number?

Did you add that number to your contact list yet?

If you did not, it will just appear as numbers.

you could be correct, I don't reconize the numbers

He is likely correct; however if the number is in your phone ensure it is saved in the international format (including the international area code) as on occasion this will fix this type of issue.
