No more bluetooth handsfree since 4.2.2 update on xperia z

Hi,

since the update of 4.2.2 that was released a couple days ago the bluetooth handsfree connection to my bmw does no longer work. Removing the pairing and pairing again (which works) has not fixed the issue. It worked without problems before the update.

What can I do ?

Thanks

Jörn

I had similar issues with XPeria Z3 and its Bluetooth feature with my Honda Accord 2013. After upgrading to Lolipop, my car stopped being able to read text messages delivered to the phone. I asked Honda and they recommended that I contact Sony. Customer support was up and down. First, they said try and do a soft boot. Then, they said try and complete restore.

That didn't work. Then they said to send it their local area service company at my expense. Not happy! I complained and they apologized and sent me a Purolator label.

One week later, my provider tells me that the repair was "an out of warranty issue" without any explanation. Almost 10 days later after numerous calls by me, they told me that due to a crack on the screen that they couldn't repair it, no matter what the reason. I told them that the phone and its Bluetooth capabilities were fine before the upgrade so why now?

The representative had to take a significant amount of time to review a picture of my phone to find the "crack". It was identified by the repair shop but he (Julio) had to expand it significantly to see it.

I told him if there was " crack" in the phone when I delivered it to my service provider then they would have alerted me of this out of warranty issue.

I wrote a Sony supervisor (that went unanswered), that Sony Community suppprt identified there are issues as far back as 2013.

Sorry, not an issue for Sony as this is an out of warranty problem. They understand but will not acknowledge it's a software problem.

Pass the Buck!
