I think the Sony person who posted that is confused. Sony has officially sent out the news on all channels that it is Sept ("next few weeks") for ICS on Xperia U..Also the ICS firmware 6.0.B.3.189 has got certified on Aug 27, 2012.. They simply don't need to backtrack now.

Shame on you! It really seems like you are laughing at us or playing with us! We are costumers and you should look after us a and respect us, this is just bad publicity for the company. Many people decide to buy one or another model basing on the opinions of the user of those models and we are not happy ( specially with the ics all respect) so you can imagine the opinions we are writting in foros, chats, reviews, etc... If thi is really true and we are getting the ics update on the first week of october thats not the third quarter of the year so you didn't keep your promise. I feel lyied and like me every day more and more people. Shame!

There are a few things we must remember when dealing with our beloved Sony company

1. Sony and promises is a bad combination
2. Sony and delivering updates to our phones is a very bad combination
3. Sony and following up on deadlines is an impossible combination
4. Don't count on good support from official forum staff, official Facebook staff, official Twitter staff (or in general, don't support on good support from any official staff including helpdesk or Sony Center's)
5. Don't bother to report bugs, there's no follow-up on any of them (notification led for example)

Well its ok guys. If u can see other ICS updated threads they are facing lots of issues and bugs. Maybe they are solving the issues and launching stable Update. If they launch Unstable update we will curse them more than this lol. And launching so many models in so less time I dont think they have engineers left to create an update lol . So they will launch it maybe in oct first week  with all those bugs cleared from ICS for Xperis U. I am Impatient as all you guys are but cant do anythng. burning blood over this issue is not going to help you. Let them work and give an suitable Update.I also got a viao and i love sony more
